Embracing a New Chapter in Your Life

This is a picture of our new chapter. Yup... My husband and I are embarking on a new journey, which at first scared the bajeezus out of me.

It all started when obviously I didn't have my monthly woman time and I told my husband I feel weird. So we headed to Walgreens and bought a store brand test with three inside of the box. I'll tell you that I was always the one who believes store brand aren't accurate, but I was wrong.

Took the pregnancy test and right away it showed us this:

I'm talking within ten seconds and I laughed so hard, then started to cry. I was so afraid in becoming a mom and getting pregnant because this wasn't supposed to happen for another five years or so. Questions of uncertainty popped in my head:
How are we going to raise this child? Do we even have any money to raise him or her?  What about our plans we made?

Maybe you are embarking on a new chapter in your life. Whether it's a new job, you were laid off, lowered income, new house, moving to another state, maybe your going through a tough marriage. I'm here to tell you that although Gods plans aren't like our plans,

He knows the bigger picture for your life.

Feeling completely overwhelmed or in shock about the change?
Here is what helped my husband and I:

1. Pray because that is your biggest weapon against the enemy feeding you lies
Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

2. Trust the Lord and His plans for your life to be the best.
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path."

3. Share concerns with positive influential people because they will give you solid and godly wisdom.
Proverbs 13:20 "He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm."

It's ok to be a little shaky and uncertain about what is going on in your life right now. We are all human beings but when we walk by faith and let God help us through those moments, we embrace the new chapter we are facing.

Jesus thank You for each reader and for their willingness to hold onto Your hand through these tough times. May Your light shine in their lives and in those who come in contact with them. In Jesus name Amen.

For His Glory,
Lisbeth
